VENUE OPTIONS

There are three avenues that we could go for Sandbox 2020. We could find a venue that would be used for free in exchange for occupation, reinvention or exposure; a venue for hire that is within budget; or a co-collaborative space like an artist residence or studio.

TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC

The people who would be most interested in constructing and collaborating with the experience are graduates, both BA and MA. People who are in the swing of collaborating and looking to showcase as well as discuss ideas. The next person would be creatives looking to experiment and their friendship groups. TEXT TO BE ADDED

BUDGET DISTRIBUTION

Least amount of risk is to cover main expenses first and then distribute budget for installations based off of what is leftover. You cannot end up not being able to provide the basic needs of the event because most of the budget went towards materials. People make the event first, then the supplies that need to keep them there. This means that we should have our volunteers for food and target capacity decided first. BYOB, but a designated person will also be given a select budget for back up alcohol.

SCHEDULE

Figuring out the flow of people is the most important thing for everyone to enjoy being in a singular space for a weekend, and being stacked on top of each other.

Build up will begin 2 weeks or less before the event itself. Core organisational crew will need to arrive then and establish the welcoming culture. Others can arrive later based on their availability.
